The Ligue one five goal thriller saw Lens victorious against OM

RC Lens defeated Olympique de Marseille by 3-2 in the game of the Ligue 1 giants. With the win Lens now settles in the second spot on the table. The visitors leaped over hosts with a great start at the Orange Vélodrome. First Florian Sotoca successfully converted a penalty in the ninth minute. Before the halftime Polish star Przemysław Frankowski handed Lens a good lead, which was short-lived as Dimitri Payet curled in a beautiful shot 20 meters from goal and cut back the lead in half.

Soon after Gerson missed a chance to score when Leca spoiled his attack. Payet then came back to force a draw for hosts in first-half stoppage time with a penalty. While the second half seemed to favor OM with a multitude of chances to score but they could not capitalize on that. Lens then turned the momentum in their favor with Saïd’s 71st-minute goal.
