Torino and Genoa share the spoils of the day

At the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, Torino was held to a 1-1 draw by Genoa, continuing their odd recent run of results. Although they have only won once in their past six games, the Granata continued their winning streak that began on December 21.

Just before halftime, Genoa's Morten Thorsby gave the home team the lead after a Valentin Lazaro corner ended in an own goal. But in the second half, Andrea Pinamonti gave the visitors the equalizer by taking advantage of a defensive blunder by Saul Coco. Che Adams came quite near several times, and Torino had numerous opportunities to win all three points. In the last 20 minutes of the game, new players Cesare Casadei and Cristiano Biraghi made their debuts. Recently signed from Chelsea, Casadei almost made an immediate impression but missed a header in stoppage time.
