Adams's Southampton contract expired in June, making him a free agent. He won't have to wait long, though, as BBC Sport reports that the 28-year-old and Torino have reached an agreement on a deal "in principle," with a physical scheduled for Monday.
According to the source, Wolves has been after Adams for some months, but Torino has outbid them for his signing. Adams, a 33-time Scotland international who participated three times for the Tartan Army at Euro 2024 this summer, is coming into Italy after a 2023–24 season in which he finished with 17 goals and six assists in 46 games across all competitions, helping Southampton make a playoff comeback to the Premier League. Adams, who was formerly with Birmingham and Sheffield United, scored 48 goals in 191 games altogether while at Southampton.
