Toulouse against high-flying Monaco in a stodgy 1-1 draw in Ligue 1

In a plodding 1-1 draw in Ligue 1 on Friday, Toulouse managed to salvage a point against high-flying Monaco thanks to a last-minute defensive blunder by Frank Magri. 17 minutes in, Mika Biereth's cross was touched in by Japanese winger Takumi Minamino, giving Monaco the lead.

In the 90th minute, Monaco's custodian and a defender clashed on the outside of their own box, allowing Magri to slip in and score what appeared to be their first away victory since before Christmas. The draw cost Monaco ground in the fight for a top-three finish, but keeper Radoslaw Majecki made a spectacular save seconds later to save Toulouse from collecting all three points. The top three qualify automatically for next season’s Champions League and Monaco is fourth, two points behind Nice and three ahead of Lille, which has a game in hand against bottom club Montpellier on Saturday.
