Trabzonspor are reportedly keen to sign Andre Onana permanently following his impressive start on loan from Manchester United. Although the deal does not include a buy option, the Turkish club have been delighted with the goalkeeper’s performances in his first four games. According to The Sun, head coach Fatih Tekke has been particularly impressed by Onana’s leadership and how quickly he has adapted to life in Turkey.
Trabzonspor, currently second in the Turkish Super Lig, are expected to open talks with United about a permanent move once the loan ends. The 28-year-old earns around £120,000 a week—more than his United deal—so personal terms are unlikely to be a problem if both clubs can agree on a fee. Onana’s form and influence have already made him a fan favourite in Trabzon.
