Valladolid cameback twice to climb out of relegation

Stakes were high for Valladolid and they needed to pull up their socks and face Athletic Bilbao. Valladolid forced a comeback twice against Bilbao to end up with a 2-2 draw and moved out of the relegation zone of La Liga. Valladolid is seventeenth on the table now with five more matches left in the season and if they do well they could live for one more season. Currently, they are level on points with Elche and are ahead on goal difference and need to keep it that way.

The 85th-minute goal by Shon Weissman pulled Valladolid from the red zone when they leveled the score. First Bilbao went ahead with Jon Mocillo putting them ahead in the 14th minute. Fabian Orellana answered by netting in the 70th minute and six minutes later Raul Garcia put Bilbao ahead at San Mames Stadium. And despite their best effort to maintain their lead Valladolid fought back and equalized in the end.
