Victor Osimhen dragged Napoli to a draw against Cagliari

Napoli had to rely on Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s last-minute heroics to save Napoli from a disappointing defeat against Cagliari. Il Partenopei was hoping to claim the three points at Unipol Domus and challenge the top teams on the Italian Serie A table by climbing the table after Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Juventus failed to get their hands on the maximum points this weekend.

Napoli’s main rivals for the Scudetto fears the once-dominant side would once again stake their claim for the title but their poor performance against Walter Mazzarri’s men was disappointing, to say the least. Osimhen started the day on the bench then after the fear of fifth defeat was looming in the air Osimhen was brought in as a substitute to cancel out Gaston Pereiro’s first-half opener. Luciano Spalletti’s side is third on the table just two points away from AC Milan.
