Villa is in negotiations to loan Yasin Ozcan, their new centre defender, to Anderlecht. Following a pre-contract agreement reached in January, the 19-year-old Turkey international joined the team earlier this summer in a £5.8 million deal from Kasimpasa.
Ozcan, however, is not expected to play in Villa's first team this season, and the team is willing to let him join Anderlecht in order to gain experience, even though he is still seen as an interesting potential for the future. The Brussels club, who have already begun their domestic season, are also in the qualifying stages of the Europa Conference League. Reports in Belgium have claimed the deal could include an option to buy. Ozcan will join a lengthy list of Villa players who have gone out on loan for the season ahead, with Louie Barry, Kosta Nedeljkovic and Enzo Barrenechea having already departed.
