Villarreal is now considering the prospect of signing Rennes attacker Arnaud Kalimuendo, after Tottenham first showed interest. Even if Rennes' management gave Kalimuendo the all-clear to depart, he still has a contract with the Breton club till 2027. Earlier this summer, Spurs began talks with Stade Rennais, but they haven't moved further with a formal offer yet. Villarreal, a La Liga team, has now entered the race and asked if a deal is feasible. After Thierno Barry left for Everton, the Yellow Submarine is trying to bolster their attack.
The 23-year-old just had a successful 2024–25 season in which he made 34 appearances in all competitions and scored 18 goals. Rennes is prepared for more communication from possible suitors as a result of his performances rekindling interest overseas. Although neither Tottenham nor Villarreal has made a bid as of yet, things are anticipated to pick up speed in the upcoming weeks.
