West Ham United is reportedly interested in Gonzalo Plata, according to a report by the Spanish publication Fichajes. Ahead of next year's two transfer windows, the Hammers are searching the market for a dynamic attacker. Thus, the East London team has made the 24-year-old Flamengo winger their aim. Gonzalo Plata, who joined Flamengo from Al-Sadd in August 2024, has made an immediate impact. He was up in Ecuador and is a native of Guayaquil. He completed the juvenile level at Independiente del Valle. After gaining experience in Europe with Real Valladolid and Sporting CP, he spent a year with Al-Sadd.
The 24-year-old hasn't looked back in recent months since returning to South America during the summer transfer window. In 13 games thus far throughout all competitions, Plata has only managed two goals and one assist. But Flamengo won the Copa do Brasil this month thanks to one of those goals.
