Xavi shocked over Del Bosque's blow at Casillas

What Spanish manager Vicente del Bosque did against Iker Casillas, tampers with the player's reputation and completely leaves him as a troublemaker inside the national team against any coaching staff that comes to Spain. These kinds of problems must never be made public to the press, they have to be worked out internally. But now that Del Bosque made his move, it's now Iker Casillas chance to respond.

The way that the goalkeeper has responded according to the Spanish media is to completely ignore Del Bosque's claims and wait for the next manager to explain the situation. Despite his age, Iker Casillas completely believes that he can still be Spain's main goalkeeper in the major tournaments. His problem with Del Bosque is being left aside behind David de Gea's shadow. But Casillas fully believes that he can emulate Gianluigi Buffon and play until he is 40.

Talking to Deportes Cuatro, Catalan midfielder Xavi Hernandez was surprised for this shameful situation: "I was quite surprised by Del Bosque's comments about Casillas. I obviously wasn't there, so I don't know what prompted Vicente to make these comments. Still, I think they will resolve this. There was no bad atmosphere during the World Cup in Brazil, but I don't know what happened in France. I talked about it with Iker and I am convinced they will sort this out. But I am surprised that the coach went public."
