Bayern Munich are reportedly targeting Nottingham Forest defender Murillo as they look to strengthen their backline. The Brazilian has made 80 appearances since joining from Corinthians in 2023 for around £15 million and was named Forest’s Player of the Season after an impressive debut campaign.
Despite Forest’s struggles this season, the 23-year-old’s reputation continues to rise, with his composed defending and partnership with Nikola Milenkovic standing out under Nuno Espirito Santo. According to Bild, Bayern view Murillo as a potential addition if Dayot Upamecano leaves, with the club keen to secure long-term defensive options. Murillo’s mix of physicality, ball-playing ability, and maturity has made him one of the most sought-after young centre-backs in England, and Bayern’s growing interest could spark competition from other top European clubs. A deal for Murillo will not come cheap, though. The report suggests it would likely take an offer in the region of €55million (£48m) to prise the centre-half away from the City Ground.
