Bayern Munich reignite their interest in Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku

As reported by The Athletic, Bayern Munich have reignited their interest in Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku. During the January transfer window, Bayern made a surprise approach to Chelsea, as the record champions looked to acquire the services of Nkunku.

Including Mathys Tel in the deal, Bayern looked to lower the Premier League outfit’s valuation of the 27-year-old, but ultimately, a deal never came to fruition. Now, Tel is plying his trade at one of Chelsea’s fiercest rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, having recently completed a permanent move to North London.

Therefore, as Bayern continue their search for attacking reinforcement, it is unlikely they will be able to offer Chelsea a player should they look to strike a deal with Enzo Maresca’s side.

Der Rekordmeister are still hoping to lure Luis Díaz away from Liverpool, having recently been given the green light from the Colombian’s side.
