Julian Nagelsmann’s unbeaten start in Bundesliga as Bayern Munich coach ended with the 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday. Facing the Champions on the other side Goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, kept Frankfurt alive with spectacular saves until Filip Kostic’s low shot found the back of the net past Manuel Neuer to score the winner in the 83rd minute to end Bayern’s nine-game winning streak. Trapp denied Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller, and Leon Goretzka early on and kept Bayern looking for a winner later.
It was another big win for Frankfurt as they sealed their third away win at Bayern after November 2000. Munich has another big competitor at the top of the table as Bayer Leverkusen levels up on point with Arminia Bielefeld’s 4-0 win later on Sunday.
