Liverpool's efforts to recruit 23-year-old Valencia and Georgia emerging star goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili appear to be moving forward, with reports out of Spain claiming that Bournemouth have agreed to pay a loan fee of roughly €5 million for the next season. The somewhat intricate selling arrangement would see Liverpool pay a base transfer cost of €30 million, with the first payment paid to Valencia this summer and Bournemouth would pay Valencia €5 million for the stopper's services on loan for the forthcoming season.
Mamardashvili would then be available to join the Reds in the summer of 2025, depending if Liverpool requires a new number one at the time since Alisson Becker's deal runs until 2027. However, there are definite uncertainties regarding Alisson's future, which he and manager Arne Slot will be questioned on throughout the forthcoming season. The 23-year-old Mamardashvili can stay on loan at Bournemouth beyond this season as well.
