Bundesliga: SC Freiburg took over Borussia Dortmund 2-1

The defeat leaves Dortmund with three points from their first two games. Borussia Dortmund gave a tough fight however, could not win against SC Freiburg 2-1. Jude Bellingham assisted on a goal and hit the post for Borussia Dortmund, but they fell to a Bundesliga setback at Freiburg. The host team took control early in both halves thanks to goals from Vincenzo Grifo and Roland Sallai, but Dortmund had hope when Bellingham's volley bounced in off Yannik Keitel for an own goal.

Dortmund had tied the club record of eight consecutive league wins with a triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt in the season opener, but they never looked like breaking it here. Their greatest chance to level came from the typically clinical Erling Braut Haaland, who spooned over when clear through.
