Champions League Highlight: Viktoria Plzen 2-4 Barcelona

In their final Champions League match until at least September 2023, Barcelona's match against Viktoria Plzen had little on the line other than positive feelings and confidence, according to manager Xavi Hernandez. Even though they may have scored four goals, this was hardly the well-rounded effort they may have desired. Ansu Fati's effort was parried by the goalie after just five minutes, giving Barcelona the lead. Marcos Alonso slipped in to grab the lead as it dribbled along the line.

Viktoria had results to show for their efforts in the second half. On his debut Barcelona start, Pablo Torre tripped the Viktoria striker who had the ball in the net. With his penalty, Vaclav Pilar rubbed Pena the wrong way. Torres, who displayed fantastic footwork to switch places with Raphinha and finish on the first attempt in the box, provided Barcelona's quick response.
