Tommaso Pobega's return to Bologna from Milan and Francisco Conceicao's permanent move from FC Porto to Juventus were the day's biggest Serie A transfers. After extensive discussions, a deal was agreed for the winger to make his loan in Turin permanent after he had already spent the previous season there for €10 million. In order to retain the 22-year-old Portuguese star, Juventus will spend an additional €32 million in four installments.
Pobega had already made an impression in the Bologna uniform, helping them defeat his original club Milan in the Coppa Italia, therefore today's major move was also a previous loan. An intriguing case was that of Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, a product of the Inter youth academy who returned from a loan spell at Sampdoria in Serie B and will spend this season at newly-promoted Pisa in the top flight.
