Boost for Bayern: Musiala edges closer to return

The Bayern Munich attacking midfielder, who suffered an injury on July 5 during the Club World Cup match against PSG (a fractured fibula), resumed training and took his first steps on the pitch last Thursday.

After several months of rehabilitation, the German talent is making significant progress, currently focusing on exercises to gradually regain his playing form.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl said after the win over Bayer Leverkusen that Musiala could return to action as early as December: "We believe he can return to the team in December and maybe even get a few minutes on the pitch to fully prepare for January," Eberl was quoted as saying by Foot Mercato.

Bayern are looking forward to the return of their star player ahead of a busy schedule that includes matches against Stuttgart, Sporting, Mainz and Heidenheim.
