The Italian team secured, on Thursday, the second and last 'ticket' for the long-awaited final of the Under-20 World Cup, by defeating South Korea, at the Ciudad de La Plata stadium, in Argentina, by 2- 1.
The transalpine team came in with everything and, after just 14 minutes, they were already winning, thanks to a goal by Cesare Casadei. However, the answer came even before the whistle for the break, when Seung-won Lee converted a penalty.
Equality on the scoreboard remained until the 86th minute, when Simone Pafundi (who, just four minutes earlier, had 'jumped' from the substitutes' bench) made the taste by foot and sealed the final result.
Italy will, therefore, compete for the trophy with Uruguay, who beat Israel by 1-0, as a result of a 'solitary' goal by Anderson Duarte. The clash is scheduled for 22:00 next Sunday, in this same venue.
