Winger Facundo Pellistri of Manchester United joined Granada earlier this week, and on Saturday afternoon, he made his La Liga debut against Las Palmas. It wasn't the Uruguayan's first-ever goal when Granada was held to a 1-1 draw. But because they are a team that is battling for relegation, the winger should be prepared for a challenging but competitive season finale. Pellistri played for sixty-three minutes, mostly being used for defensive purposes.
Despite starting his first Granada game on the right side, the 22-year-old’s team was reduced to 10 men in the 21st minute, forcing them to alter their strategy. Throughout the match, the Uruguayan international made seven defensive plays and won nine duels. It won't be all fun and games for him if Pellistri wants to save them from being demoted, he will have his job cut out for him.
