Five England players who may have had their last World Cup appearance

England lost to France in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Saturday night. Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud scored goals for Les Bleus on either side of a Harry Kane penalty. And when Kane busted a second spot kick over the crossbar with six minutes remaining, the verdict was written on the sky for the Three Lions. England will now have to hang tight until at least 2026 to finish their prolonged wait for a second World Cup title. And however, there are five players who may have now participated in their last World Cup.

Kyle Walker was the top scorer at the Qatar tournament but couldn'y score at the Al-Bayt Stadium. Another one is Kieran Trippier who has been a Gareth Southgate favourite over the years. Jordan Henderson isn’t far off from dropping either. Callum Wilson is also unlikely to be in sight. Conor Coady is also highly unlikely to travel to another World Cup.
