France beat Belgium and 'waits' for Portugal

France beat Belgium 1-0, in another game of the round of 16 of Euro'2024. The only goal of the match came towards the end, in the 85th minute, with former Benfica player Vertonghen deflecting Kolo Muani's shot into his own goal.

The first half began with a 'massacre' by the Gallic team, dominance reversed by the Belgians in the second quarter of an hour. Just before the break, Maignan was surprised by a dangerous ball and only an unconventional defense managed to prevent the goal.

It was in the final stretch that the null was undone. Kolo Muani, assisted by Kondé, who managed to find the way to the goal. In between, he had a little 'help' from Vertonghen, who with an unfortunate touch ended up surprising goalkeeper.

With this victory, France guarantees a place in the quarter-finals. This duel will take place next Friday, July 5th, in Hamburg.
