Genoa handed a 4-1 defeat to Crotone

The Nigeria international’s return turned sorrowful as Pythagoreans were no match against the merciless Griffin losing the match by 1-4. This was the first Serie A match for Pythagoreans who had formerly competed for the last two seasons only in Serie B. ruthless attach by Genoa resulted in 4 goals for the team by Mattia Destro, Goran Pandev, Davide Zappacosta, and Marko Pjaca at Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Destro led Genoa to a lead in just under 6 minutes pushing the ball past Alex Cordaz. Three minutes later, Pandev increased the gap. Emmanuel Riviere tried to recover in the 28th minute by scoring once, but that was all Genoa allowed them. Pythagoreans didn’t have enough time to enjoy their victory when former Chelsea star Davide Zappacosta sealed their faith by regaining their advantage. Simy stayed in action for 89 minutes but was no match to Genoa’s talent. Crotone had just celebrated their first win of the season against AC Milan.
