Hertha Berlin gets a big boost with the 3-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday as they climbed out of the relegation zone in Bundesliga and Peter Bosz’s side has just won four matches from their 17 matches across competition which includes their early exit from Europa League and German Cup as well.
Leverkusen is now sixth on the table and increased the gap to seven places now between themselves and fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and the much-coveted Champions League qualification. They would face Schalke next. Deyovaisio Zeefuik opened for Hertha within four minutes and Leverkusen could not cut through their defense and find an opener. Later Matheus Cunha netted past Lennart Grill in the 26th minute which essentially gave Hertha an early two-goal lead that could not be countered by Leverkusen. For the third goal Cunha, Zeefuik and Lukebakio were all responsible.
