Before being acquired by Pescara in 2012, the 31-year-old Colombian player began his career at Envigado and later transferred to Atletico Nacional. He was traded to Porto in 2013 after the Delfini were demoted to Serie B. He later represented a number of teams, including River Plate and Stade Rennais. Since the summer of 2023, the small midfield player has been playing for Racing Club. He has a deal with the Argentine team that ends in December 2026. Argentine reporter Marcello Benedetto (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) claims that Quintero has been valued at €5 million by Racing, making him a desirable target for a number of European teams, including Lazio.
The Colombian international can play as an inverted winger, cutting from the right flank, although his primary position is attacking midfield. He is well known for having extraordinary vision and for setting up opportunities for his teammates.
