Ligue 1: PSG took over Rennes 1-0

Kylian Mbappe scored deep into stoppage time to give PSG a 1-0 win over Rennes, extending their league-winning streak to four games. Rennes is still the only team in Ligue 1 to have beaten the hosts this season. They also had a good game the night before. However, Mbappe's goal, which was set up by Lionel Messi, gave the hosts all three points.

While PSG had the most of possession, chances were few and far between. In the first half, Mbappe hit the crossbar and had a goal called out for offside. While the Parisians have had a strong season in the league, Rennes were the only team to defeat them this season. Rennes defeated the league leaders 2-0 at home in October. PSG leads the French top flight in goals scored with 52, while Rennes is in third place with 43. Both teams have a strong defensive record, with 19 and 22 goals conceded in 24 games, respectively.
