According to reports, Newcastle has entered the chase for Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich, who has been extensively linked to a summer transfer to the Premier League. Gravenberch, who joined Bayern for £17 million last summer after garnering praise for his performances for Ajax, has only started two Bundesliga games during his rookie season.
Gravenberch also admitted last month that he "really wants to play weekly again" and that his situation "has to change next season" as a result of his insufficient playing time. In recent days, Manchester City has been included in the discussion for his future along with links to Manchester United and Arsenal. However, Newcastle and Liverpool are at the head of the queue, both teams have even "already made proposals" and are prepared to "pay €50 million" to sign the midfielder this summer. Gravenberch's meeting with Thomas Tuchel and the club administration, which is still to happen, will determine whether he actually leaves the club.
