With Alexander-Arnold preparing for his move to join 15-time Champions League winners Real Madrid on a six-year deal following the expiration of his Liverpool contract on June 30, Frimpong will be tasked with filling in the shoes of the England right-back.
“It went quite easy. Liverpool came and said they had interest, and obviously for me it was a no-brainer," Frimpong told 'Liverpoolfc.com' following the announcement. "For me, it was like, ‘Whatever you guys do, just get this done’, [speaking to] my agents: ‘Just get this done.’
