Lugano had made an offer for Inter Milan-owned wingback Mattia Zanotti

Gianluca Di Marzio reports this via FCInterNews. According to him, there is still a gap between Inter's expectations for Zanotti and Lugano's offer. The season has been spent by Inter wingback Zanotti on loan at St. Gallen in the Swiss Super League. This is the Italian Under-21 international's first time playing senior football.

For St. Gallen, Zanotti made 34 appearances in all. In the process, he assisted five others and scored three goals. Zanotti had risen up through Inter's youth systems before to this past season. The 21-year-old Nerazzurri player competed all the way up to the Primavera or Under-19 division. In addition, he made his debut for Inter under Simone Inzaghi, the coach. However, Zanotti's development has benefited greatly from this season. The youthful wingback has begun to feature as a starter in the senior top division this season.
