Manchester City is prepared to challenge Real Madrid for Theo Hernandez

Milan had a busy January transfer window, bringing in three players on loan, notably Joao Felix of Chelsea and Kyle Walker of Man City, while loaning out seven players and adding two permanent additions. Hernandez is one of Milan's most vital players, but talks to extend his contract are at a stalemate as it is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2026.

In December, we revealed that Hernandez was a target for Real Madrid. The French international is on the La Liga giants' shortlist of summertime left-back targets. As we have reported, Man City's first aim for a left-back at this point is Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus, although Hernandez is also on their shortlist in case they lose out. Prior to his decision to extend his contract with the Bundesliga team until 2030, Pep Guardiola's team had shown interest in Alphonso Davies, a left-back for Bayern Munich.
