A first-team player for Barcelona, the La Liga champions, is considering leaving the team in the winter. Marc-André ter Stegen is the player in question, according to Sky Germany, which is cited by Diario Sport.
Naturally, goalie Ter Stegen is currently out for the long haul. This comes after the German international had to have surgery to fix a chronic back problem. It is generally accepted that Ter Stegen would not have been playing regularly for Hansi Flick's team once Joan García was signed in the summer. In turn, it came as something of a surprise when a string of claims were forthcoming in the media, that the 33-year-old was not taking into consideration a January move. Ahead of next summer’s World Cup, Ter Stegen desperately needs to build up form and fitness by way of playing time.
