Napoli fined Politano for joking about his move to Valencia

In the middle of his vacation in the city of Formentera, Matteo Politano joked about the possibility of becoming a new signing for Gennaro Gattuso's Valencia and was fined by the Napoli board.

"When I get back I will meet with my agent and the club, and then we will decide what to do. Do I like Valencian paella? Very much...", said the 33-year-old striker in a conversation during the last few days in a bar.

These statements did not go down well with the Neapolitan side, which decided to fine him for 'skipping the internal regime and granting an interview without authorization', as reported by 'Corriere dello Sport'.

The truth is that Valencia have intentions to sign Politano at the exclusive request of Gattuso, his new coach. The 'che' team will look for a loan with an obligation to buy, but for now nothing has been officially confirmed.
