Napoli wins 2-0 against Eintracht Frankfurt

Napoli is close to entering the quarterfinals of the Champions League after their Tuesday night decisive 2-0 victory in the first leg at Eintracht Frankfurt. Runaway Serie A champions completely controlled the game to put themselves on the verge of a historic accomplishment.

Luciano Spalletti rallied his team after a shaky first ten minutes of play. Napoli seized control of the situation and started to exhibit some of their exceptional domestic form. Mexican forward Hirving Lozano who failed his first attempt, whipped across a beautiful low cross straight into Osimhen’s path who scored for Napoli from point-blank. Later when Randal Kolo Muani’s irrational challenge on Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa earned a red card, Napoli did not waste time in doubling their lead taking advantage of a 10-men team. Soon after, Giovanni Di Lorenzo scored a rare goal from his weaker left foot to sink Frankfurt’s hopes further.
