No more Nico for Barcelona?

Two of the most dangerous and successful wingers in football right now are Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, and it is practically illegal for them to play for the same team. However, the fact that both were legitimate starters under Hansi Flick indicates that they have been overworked, and the team is now searching for a fresh addition who can split the workload on the wing and act as a rotation option.

Since Nico Williams was Athletic Club's main aim last summer, it goes without saying that he was one of the first names to surface in Catalonia. Williams was Barcelona's top transfer priority the previous season, but it appears that Joan Laporta and company have changed their objectives in light of Raphinha's emergence. According to a new update from Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona has temporarily slammed the door on the Basque young player. They think there are alternative solutions that can do well on the wings.
