Two more Serie A deals were confirmed today: goalkeeper Zion Suzuki joining newly promoted Parma and Lazio acquiring Nuno Tavares from Arsenal, indicating that the summer transfer market is well underway. In addition to the completed deals, on July 15 there were some significant advancements in the transfer negotiations with many Serie A targets. Alvaro Morata of Atletico Madrid and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two of the main possible movers.
Deals that have been completed include Nuno Tavares' formal loan move to Lazio, which came with a buyout option. When specific sporting requirements are satisfied, the purchase option will become required. Lazio and Arsenal have already negotiated the parameters of a deal that would last until 2029 should Tavares decide to make the move permanent. Lazio would also be required to pay Arsenal an estimated €6 million in that scenario.
