Red Star Belgrade defender Rashid Sumaila has been handed a late Black Stars call-up by coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of his sides Saturday Nations cup qualifier against the East African side, Kenya.
Nuhu picked an ankle injury 44 minutes into TSG Hoffenheim’s clash with Freiburg on Saturday in the German Bundesliga.
Coach Appiah has in recent days been hit with news of player injuries ahead of Ghana’s match against Kenya.
Recent amongst those injured is Metz defender John Boye who missed his clubs Saturday home win over lens because of a knock he suffered last Tuesday.
Coach Appiah now has no option than to invite the Red Star Belgrade defender to be a part of his team.
The 25-year-old is expected to join the team in Ethiopia on Monday where they will start preparation for the Kenya clash.
