Real Madrid’s draw could hurt their chances of winning La Liga title

Real Madrid dropped two points in the La Liga title race with a goalless draw against Getafe giving Atletico and Barcelona a much better chance to win the title instead. Los Blancos faltered against the energetic Getafe side while goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois worked hard to defend the goal and secure a goalless draw.

Real Madrid was without key players for the match before the Getafe match started, forcing Zinedine Zidane to come up with a creative solution. But fatigue got the better of them and they hardly made an effort and pressured the hosts while Courtois dealt with attacks by Mathias Olivera and Nemanja Maksimovic among others. They had a tough week which saw them qualify for the semi-finals in the Champions League and are now 3 points behind Atletico Madrid.
