Sampdoria surprises us all by defeating Fiorentina in Serie A

After being beaten twice already in the first two Serie A games odds were against Sampdoria but they managed to surprise us with a late goal by Valerio Verre secured Sampdoria’s lead by 2-1. The hosts missed out on an early lead as Christian Kouame failed to score a goal, Fiorentina's Gaetano Castrovilli provided an opportunity to Sampdoria with a penalty which Quagliarella later converted successfully. Later Fiorentina leveled the score with a great finish by Dusan Vlahovic in the 72nd minute when the game seemed to head towards a draw but was ruled out by VAR and Verre than increased the lead further by scoring with just seven minutes left in the game and Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina managed to score once leaving both the teams with three points from three games on the final scoresheet.
