Solskjaer chosen to succeed Mourinho at Manchester United

After not lasting half of the season at Manchester United, the race to replace Jose Mourinho started after the Portuguese coach was given his marching orders on Tuesday and a solution was found.

A world class squad including the likes of Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez, David de Gea and Romelu Lukaku will be available to the next man who sits on the Old Trafford bench.

A number of names were already come to the fore with the usual suspects being banded around, as well as a number of outsiders.

The final choice has been that of Norwegian and United's former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who should remain in charge up the end of season. Other names as Conte, Pochettino, Blanc, Carrick and Zidane could be taken into consideration for next season.
