Despite rumoured interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Ajax prospect Stanis Idumbo Muzambo is close to signing with Sevilla, according to Fabrizio Romano. It appears that Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou are working hard to add proven quality to the team, but the North London team is also making preparations for the future.
That much is demonstrated by the summer acquisitions of Ashley Phillips and Alejo Veliz. A few weeks ago, rumours of Spurs being linked to 18-year-old Stanis Idumbo Muzambo initially surfaced (DH). The contract of the Ajax midfield player expires in the summer, and Spurs were rumoured to be one of six teams interested in signing the gifted Belgian star; however, those other teams were not disclosed at the time (Fabrizio Romano). Romano provided another update at the end of December, this time stating that the offensive midfielder, who had decided to leave Ajax, was the subject of a proposition from Spurs.
