Francesco Acerbi's health will determine Simone Inzaghi's defence lineup for the Nerazzurri. Inter will play Monza at the San Siro to open their Serie A season in a few short days. Inzaghi is beginning to know exactly who he will rely on to defeat the Brianzoli. The coach's choice, meanwhile, has not yet been made with absolute certainty. He continues to have a few reservations about the starting lineup that will represent the Nerazzurri in league play.
Nevertheless, Acerbi's health will determine whether the Nerazzurri use the same all-Italian back three as they used against Manchester City in the Champions League final. The 35-year-old's calf issue is currently being treated. There is a good chance that Acerbi will recover quickly and be ready for the game on Saturday. The former Lazio defender might not be completely match-fit even if he is healthy enough to join the team.
