Stuttgart loses in the Bundesliga against newly promoted Heidenheim

Stuttgart falters once again with promoted Heidenheim on the other side. Jan Schoeppner put Heidenheim ahead in the 70th minute, and Tim Kleindienst sealed things up from the middlefield late in the game, leaving Stuttgart goalie Alexander Nuebel stranded. Silas Mvumpa of Stuttgart had shot a penalty kick over the crossbar in the 57th minute after teammate Angelo Stiller had struck the crossbar earlier in the half.

Stuttgart's Luca Raimund was stopped by the woodwork in added time. Although Heidenheim was the more threatening team overall, with Schoeppner and Benedikt Gimber heading against the crossbar in the first half. Stuttgart had won seven of the first eight games, thanks to 14 goals from the prolific Guirassy. However, he limped out during a 3-0 win against Union Berlin, and Stuttgart has since lost 3-2 to Hoffenheim and now to Heidenheim.
