By the time German prodigy extraordinaire Mario Gotze was 19, he had already reached a Champions League final just a year before he became eternal by scoring Germany's championship goal against Argentina in the World Cup final. His career started fast an early, perhaps it should've slowed down a little bit to enjoy the moment. During his time at Bayern, Gotze wasn't able to shine as he did at Dortmund or with Germany, so he decided to go back to Dortmund where he plans to find that sweet spot he seems to have misplaced.
For his manager at Dortmund, the also German Thomas Tuchel, Gotze is well on his way to gaining back that flare he lost at Bayern. He spoke about the playmaker at a media conference this Friday ahead of the Bundesliga match against Darmstadt: "There is no doubt about it that Mario is approaching top form. He is slowly getting to his best condition and that's how we want to see him. He is making clear steps in the right direction. Every training session is helping him move forward. What matters most now for him is to keep his feet firmly on the ground and not to do anything crazy."
Tuchel also praised young promising player Emre Mor: "Emre is carefree and wild, he loves to take risks, has a lot of pace and loves to take on opponents and dribble. He is learning what it means to be a professional and to play for a big club. We are very happy that he immediately had a hand in Castro's goal against Legia. That will give him a boost to keep pushing for more."
