Bologna claimed its first win of the Serie A season, beating Monza 2-1

Bologna's fierce Santiago Castro goal and a cleverly placed header by Kacper Urbanski gave them their first win of the season, keeping Monza's losing record intact.

With just three points after four rounds, both teams, under different coaches, were remained winless this season. Despite the absence of Alessio Cragno, Patrick Ciurria, Roberto Gagliardini, and Samuele Vignato, the hosts defeated Inter 1-1 last week. Lukasz Skorupski's penalty save helped the Rossoblu escape with a Champions League tie against Shakhtar Donetsk, although Tommaso Pobega was added to the list of absentees along with Nicolò Cambiaghi, Lewis Ferguson, and Oussama El Azzouzi. Vincenzo Italiano altered the starting lineup five times. In the first few minutes, Dan Ndoye gave Stefano Turati a test at the near post, then Nicola Ravaglia swooped to palm Pedro Pereira's completely free header over from a corner.
