The Jordan Football Association recently received a surprising proposal designed to expedite striker Yazan Al-Naimat’s return to action for the 2026 World Cup. After suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear against Iraq, concerns arose regarding his availability for upcoming qualifiers.
Orthopedic specialist Dr. Reda Khatatneh has generously offered to perform a stem cell treatment entirely at his own expense. Administered eight weeks post-surgery, this procedure aims to accelerate healing, minimize pain, and enhance tissue quality, enabling the player to withstand intensive rehabilitation regimens. Khatatneh emphasized this initiative is completely free, involving no financial obligations for the Association, describing it as a patriotic duty to support Jordan.
He asked the public to help convey this offer to the team's medical staff. Meanwhile, Al-Naimat is undergoing detailed examinations at Doha’s Aspetar Center. Although initial tests confirmed the injury, the final treatment plan remains pending, leaving his World Cup participation status currently uncertain.
