In Ligue 1 Lyon outlasted Marseille in a thrilling match

The three-goal thriller at the Stade Velodrome ended with Lyon’s masterclass when they took down a weaker-looking Marseille. Defiant to add a win to their tally, Castello Lukeba tapped home for the side and Les Gones found the opener in the 55th minute. After a few minutes, in-form striker Moussa Dembélé doubled the lead at the 76th minute and Karl Toko Ekambi ended the three-goal wrap-up with a close-range effort at the 88th minute.

Fighting for the last two Champions League spots. Marseille goalkeeper Pau Lopez later shared it is hard to walk away with a loss at the hands but Lyon was clearly the better team on the field, "We understand that everybody will go home unhappy after this game and I am sorry for that. It was a very important game for us but Lyon was the better team.”
