Al-Nassr reportedly spoke with the entourage of Inter Milan player Hakan Calhanoglu about a possible trade. The 31-year-old former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder was allegedly a target for Galatasaray. But according to the reports, the Istanbul powerhouses didn't even formally extend an offer to Inter. Galatasaray would not have been able to afford a deal for Calhanoglu.
The Turkish international was demanding a pay raise from Inter, where he currently earns €7.5 million net every season with add-ons, for starters. He also desired a minimum three-year contract. Then, persuading Inter to accept an offer would not have been easy. Calhanoglu would fetch between €35 and €40 million from Inter. However, Calhanoglu has turned into a target for a major Saudi Arabian club. Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, has already acquired Marcelo Brozovic as a holding midfielder. Al-Hilal has also contacted Calhanoglu's crew.
