Kane fumes after yellow card rules him out of potential title decider

Harry Kane is on the verge of the first title of his career. Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Mainz means that if they beat RB Leipzig next weekend, the Bundesliga trophy will be theirs.

But Kane won’t be on the pitch for that potential title decider. The striker is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season during the Mainz game. After committing a foul late in the first half, Kane didn't give the ball back straight away and was booked by referee.

Speaking to Bild, Kane didn’t hold back in criticizing the decision.

“Unfortunately, some people come to the Allianz Arena and try to make a name for themselves. I’m really disappointed I got the yellow card - because of course I knew I already had four. And secondly, the rule itself is crazy. Five yellow cards in 34 games and you get suspended. That’s insane.”
