Man United 'want Branthwaite, Kerkez next summer'

Jarrad Branthwaite was a top transfer target for Manchester United in the recent window, but a move was blocked by Everton’s valuation of around £75 million. Ultimately, United opted to sign Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt for defensive reinforcements. However, with the potential exits of Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, and Jonny Evans in 2025, United may pursue Branthwaite again. The club reportedly views the 22-year-old as ideal for a left-sided centre-back role, especially if manager Ruben Amorim deploys a back-three system. Branthwaite is contracted to Everton until 2027, with a likely asking price of at least £65 million.

United are also interested in Hungarian international Milos Kerkez, who joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023. Kerkez, 20, has made 44 appearances and notably provided two assists in Bournemouth’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City, showcasing his skill both defensively and in attack.
